Santa Margarita River, Fallbrook

Take Mission Rd from either I-15 or Hwy 78 to De Luz Road. Head north to Sandia Creek Rd, and continue north. Go to the very large pull-out about 1/2 mile on the left hand side of the road. There's a very large telephone pole with a light at this spot. The trail leads down to the river from this pull-out.

This is a swift moving river by San Diego standards, but the water tends to be from thigh to ankle deep.
