For getting into those hard to reach places in the back country, I have recently purchased a Toyota FJ Cruiser 4x4. For wading in creeks, rivers, or walks on the mudflats- A pair of Quick Dry Nylon Shorts & Water shoes are extremely important., The Ultimate Water shoes, are the NEOS ADVENTURER OVERSHOE. I also use the Body Glove Aqua Shoes for Sandy bottom rivers, or Merrell WaterPro Net Aqua Shoes for Rocky creek bottoms. , a Garmin GPS MAP 60C GPS Handheld Unit. For communication, when out in the field, the Midland GXT-635 is an extremely well built GMRS radio.
