1) When did you start birding in San Diego County?

I started to bird-watch in 1976, when I was 12, but became a birder in 1987, when I started to chase birds all over the County/State.

 
2) What was your first County Bird?

Black-necked Stilt

 
3) How long did it take you to reach "400" in the County?

6 years

 
4) What was your best find in the County?

Yellow-footed Gull at the mouth of the Tijuana River and a Kentucky Warbler at Cabrillo National Monument, both I believe were the 6th recorded in the county for both species.

 
5) What are your significant other birding finds in the County?

Yellow-green Vireos (one holds the record for earliest Fall record), Many eastern Warblers.

 
6) What do you do for a living?

Security Management

 
7) What's your favorite birding area in the County?

Point Loma and the Tijuana River Valley

 
8) What was your 400th species in the County?

I believe it was a Worm-eating Warbler
