     To see new species, document county records, add a new dimension to my outdoor experiences.

    Tim Manolis and Bruce Webb got me interested when we were doing a Big Day, birding in Butte County, and they commented on a passing     Flame Skimmer.  It was the first time I'd ever heard a name put to a dragonfly, and it got me to start looking at them.
